Yes. If you already hold a court judgment against a debtor and have been unable to collect the amount owed, Merion can assist with enforcement. A judgment debt is actually a stronger starting point than a pre-judgment claim — the legal question of liability has already been resolved, and the creditor has access to a full range of enforcement tools.
What enforcement support involves:
- Reviewing the judgment to understand the amount, the court that issued it, and any conditions or orders that apply.
- Locating the debtor and assessing their current financial position — including assets, income and other debts — to identify the most effective enforcement method.
- Assisting with or coordinating specific enforcement mechanisms such as garnishee orders, writs of execution, or examination orders, depending on what is available in the relevant jurisdiction.
What you need to provide:
- A copy of the judgment order, including the amount and date.
- The debtor's last known contact details and any information you have about their assets or income.
- Details of any prior enforcement steps taken and the outcome.
Enforcement commissions may differ from pre-legal recovery commissions — we will confirm the applicable rate before any work begins. To discuss an enforcement referral, contact us or refer a debt and note that a judgment has already been obtained.
