Can I withdraw a debt I've referred?

For businesses

Yes. You can withdraw a debt you have referred to us at any time. There is no obligation to keep an account with us once the circumstances change — for example, if the debtor pays you directly, if you reach a private settlement, or if your instructions have changed.

To withdraw a referred account, contact us quoting the account reference and let us know you wish to withdraw. We will close the account on our end and stop contact with the debtor.

A few things to keep in mind:

  • If a payment has already been received through our recovery activity, our commission on that amount is still applicable — this will be set out in your service agreement.
  • If you are withdrawing because the debtor has paid you directly, please let us know straight away so we can close the account promptly and not make further contact.
  • If you are withdrawing a debt because a dispute has been resolved or the amount has changed, let us know the details and we will update our records before closing.

Withdrawal is straightforward — just contact us and we will handle it from there.
