What's happening
A refund is processed in two stages: first Merion issues it, then your bank or card provider applies it to your account. The second stage is outside our control and can take several business days. So a refund that hasn't arrived yet is usually still in transit rather than lost.
How long it takes
As a general guide:
- A refund back to a bank account typically lands within a few business days of being issued.
- A refund to a card can take a little longer, sometimes up to five to ten business days, depending on your provider.
- Weekends and public holidays add to the time.
Check the details
While you wait, confirm:
- The account or card the refund was being sent to is one you still use.
- You're looking at the right account — refunds to a card appear on the card, not your everyday account.
- The expected timeframe above has actually passed.
If it still hasn't arrived
If the timeframe has passed and there's no sign of it, contact us through the contact page with your reference number and the refund amount. We'll confirm when and how it was issued so you or your bank can trace it.

FAQ
How long should a refund take?
Usually a few business days to a bank account, and up to five to ten business days to a card, depending on your provider. Weekends add time.
Where will my refund appear?
Generally back to the account or card you originally paid from. A card refund shows on the card statement, not your everyday transaction account.
It's been longer than expected — what now?
