What's happening

There is no need to worry — forgetting a password is completely normal and easy to fix. Rather than trying to recall the old one, you simply ask the system to send you a secure link, then choose a brand-new password.

For your security, nobody at Merion can see your password, so the reset process is the way everyone changes theirs.

Step by step

  1. Go to the login page and select Forgot password (sometimes shown as Reset password).
  2. Enter the email address you registered with and submit the form.
  3. Open your inbox and look for an email with a reset link. It usually arrives within a few minutes.
  4. Click the link, then enter a new password twice to confirm it.
  5. Return to the login page and sign in with your new password.

Choosing a password you'll keep

Pick something long enough to be secure but memorable for you — a short phrase with a number or two often works well. Avoid reusing a password from another site.

If your browser offers to save the new password, that is a convenient way to avoid forgetting it again, as long as you trust the device you are using.

If the email doesn't arrive

If you don't see the reset email within a few minutes, check your spam or junk folder. If it still hasn't come through, you may have entered a different email than the one on file. Our guide on what to do when a reset link doesn't arrive covers this in detail.

FAQ

Can someone at Merion just tell me my password?

No. Passwords are stored securely and nobody can read them, not even our staff. That is by design, to keep your account safe. Resetting it is the only way to set a new one.

How long is the reset link valid?

Reset links are time-limited for security and typically expire after a short period. If yours has expired, simply request a new one from the Forgot password link.

Will resetting my password affect my account or balance?

No. Changing your password only changes how you sign in. Your account details, balance and any arrangement stay exactly as they are.
