How to Pay Your Account Online

Before you begin

Paying online does not require an account, a password, or any sign-up. You only need two things: the reference number printed on your letter or notice from Merion, and a Visa, Mastercard or debit card.

Have your letter beside you so you can copy the reference number exactly. If you cannot find it, our guide on how to find your reference number shows you where to look.

Step by step

1. Go to the Pay your balance page.
2. Enter your reference number exactly as it appears on your letter, including any letters or dashes.
3. Enter the amount you wish to pay. To clear the account, this is the full balance shown on your notice.
4. Continue to the secure payment provider's screen and enter your card number, expiry date and security code.
5. Review the amount and any surcharge shown, then confirm the payment.
6. Wait for the on-screen confirmation and reference. Do not close the tab until you see it.

After you pay

Card payments are usually confirmed within minutes. You will see a confirmation on screen, and a receipt is sent to the email address you provide. Keep it as proof of payment.
