How receipts are issued
When you pay online, a receipt is generated automatically and sent to the email address you enter at the time of payment. You will also see a confirmation on screen with a reference for the transaction.
For bank transfer and BPAY, your own bank's confirmation acts as your immediate proof of payment.
Step by step
- When paying on the Pay your balance page, enter a current email address.
- Complete the payment and note the on-screen confirmation reference.
- Check your inbox, and your spam or junk folder, for the receipt email.
- Save or print the receipt for your records.
- If no receipt arrives, contact us through the Help Centre with the date and amount.
- We will confirm the payment and reissue a receipt to you.
Keeping your records
Keep every receipt until your account is settled in full, and ideally for some time afterwards. If you ever need to confirm what you have paid, a receipt is the clearest evidence.

I didn't get a receipt email — what now?
Check your spam folder first. If it is not there, contact us with the date and amount and we will reissue it.
Can I get a receipt for a bank transfer?
Your bank's transfer confirmation is your proof. We can also confirm the payment in writing on request.
How long should I keep receipts?
Keep them at least until the account is settled in full, and ideally for some time after, as evidence of payment.
