What a statement shows

A statement of account brings together the amount originally claimed, any payments you have made, and the current balance outstanding. It is useful for checking your records, confirming what has been paid, or simply seeing the full picture in one document.

Step by step

  1. Have your reference number and personal details ready.
  2. Contact us through the Help Centre and ask for a statement of your account.
  3. Confirm the details we use to verify your identity, so the statement only reaches you.
  4. Let us know whether you would like it by email or post.
  5. Review the statement against your own receipts and records.
  6. If anything does not match, contact us to query it.

Checking it over

When your statement arrives, compare the payments listed against your own receipts. If a payment you made is not shown, it may still have been clearing when the statement was produced — see our guide on how to confirm a payment cleared.

Good to know

  • A statement lists charges, payments and the current balance.
  • We verify your identity before sending it, to protect privacy.
  • Choose email or post when you request it.
  • Compare it against your own receipts and query any difference.

FAQ

Why do you need to verify my identity?
